Details - Steps to reproduce:

 - git clone git://git.openwrt.org/openwrt/openwrt.git
 - git checkout v19.07.6
 - CMAKE_GENERATOR=Ninja make -j8

OpenWrt’s build toolchain should probably unset CMAKE_GENERATOR explicitly if using the host environment variables in general is desired.
