Form new filogic target and new airoha target (assuming board is
not fused) replacing the bootloader is safe as they both have a method
to recover under ANY circumstance.

For MIPS I don't know if it does also apply. This is why we suggest to
just replace the bootloader and it's an exception of the usual rule of
never modify the original bootloader. (it's safe and benefits overcome the
PAIN of having to recover the device if the ""migration"" goes wrong)

If the bootloader replacement can't be done then the only way is to
bite the bullet and accept the fact that BMT needs to be used.
