For a ~$250 device (even assuming a landed cost of around $120 or
so?), is that such a burden?  Giving this system the best
expandability bang for the buck would seem to be a worthwhile goal.
An M.2 slot for 5G (which would also need an additional USB interface
going to it), or for AI accelerators, or interface expansion cards,
would be a big plus.   Also the option to expand the memory to 4GB or
8GB (would SODIMMs be an option here?)
