Thanks for testing! Sure, the patched version should work also with a 3.10 kernel.
I use my router as AP / switch behind a Fritz!Box, therefore I switched off VLAN's (WAN/LAN separation).
So I didn't test your scenario. I'll check ..
By the way: Did you also test your router with an OpenWRT version compiled for using kernel 3.14?
If yes I'd be interested in whether you encountered any issues (unpatched and patched version).
