[OpenWrt-Devel] Adding support to a BCM96348 device

Hello Roger,

I'm having problems trying to make your proposed modifications.
I've been also unable to do the 'mtd fix' command as it is not accepted 
(nor mtd fixtrx)

I've modified the files you told me as follows:

target/linux/brcm63xx/base-files/etc/uci-defaults/brcm63xx_fixcrc.sh


"bcm63xx/CPVA642 "* | "bcm63xx/MAGIC "*)

to

"bcm63xx/CPVA642 "* | "bcm63xx/MAGIC "* | "bcm63xx/CPVA502+ "* )

arch/mips/bcm63xx/boards/board_bcm963xx.c


I understand that the file in question is

build_dir/toolchain-mips_gcc-linaro_uClibc-0.9.32/linux-2.6.37.6/arch/mips/bcm63xx/boards/board_bcm963xx.c

I have copypasted struct board info from 96348GW-10 as:

}

after making the image, I still get the kernel panic on 'unable to 
detect bcm963xx board'

I've been told on the irc that I should have made the modifications like 
a patch instead of directly modifying board_bcm963xx.c source file, as 
explained at 
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/devel/patches#adding.or.editing.kernel.patches 
but I'm learning how that is made.
