Evening,
I added thee settings to /etc/tor/torrc file as per this link,
http://wiki.noreply.org/noreply/TheOnionRouter/TransparentProxy
- -> 2.2. Local Redirection Through Tor
Settings:
AutomapHostsOnResolve 1
TransPort 9040
DNSPort 53
However, restarting Tor caused an error for a documented feature!
# /etc/init.d/tor start
Jan 01 14:07:23.391 [notice] Tor v0.1.0.17. This is experimental
software. Do not rely on it for strong anonymity.
Jan 01 14:07:23.405 [warn] config_assign_line(): Unknown option
'AutomapHostsOnResolve'. Failing.
Jan 01 14:07:23.410 [err] tor_init(): Reading config failed--see
warnings above. For usage, try -h.
I am certain these settings are correct as I have copied and pasted
these from the web site.
* Was Tor compiled for OpenWRT with certain functionality excluded? If
not then I shall hassle the Tor people.
Cheers, S.
