Dear All,

I tried to edit a file on OpenWRT :

- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5847 Jun 7 05:59 /etc/tor/torrc

However, either vi or echo does not modify the file.

| echo "AutomapHostsOnResolve 1" >> /etc/tor/torrc
| root at Chillifire_000666339:~# tail /etc/tor/torrc
| ## Look at http://wiki.noreply.org/noreply/TheOnionRouter/TorFAQ#Abuse
| ## for issues you might encounter if you use the default exit policy.
| ##
| #ExitPolicy accept *:6660-6667,reject *:* # allow irc ports but no more
| #ExitPolicy accept *:119 # accept nntp as well as default exit policy
| #ExitPolicy reject *:* # middleman only -- no exits allowed
|
| User tor
| Group tor
| PidFile /var/run/tor.pid

I would have expected to see this at the bottom of the file:
AutomapHostsOnResolve 1

I am at a loss. Is this normal. Its not for any other *nix I have ever
worked.

I would appricate an answerm although it looks like I might have been
blacklisted :(

Regards, S.
