[OpenWrt-Users] default /etc/ipkg.conf doesn't refer to actual package repo

is there a reason that the initial /etc/ipkg.conf file on my system
doesn't actually refer to the openwrt packages repo for this router?
after flashing, it reads:
src snapshots http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/brcm47xx/packages
dest root /
dest ram /tmp
but that doesn't do me any good since there is no such directory.
shouldn't an initial /etc/ipkg.conf refer to something like:
src packages http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/packages/mipsel
or something similar? obviously, this isn't hard to fix, but it seems
pointless to start with an initial ipkg.conf file that's just plain
wrong.
