but, as i mentioned in that post, it *wasn't* an atheros card, it
turned out to be an ASUS card (the WL-120G with a broadcom chipset).
so that doesn't really solve my problem, does it? why do you claim
that dmesg detects an atheros card? what specifically should i look
for from "dmesg" to verify what you're suggesting?
