I presume you've already done the soldering necessary to attach a
cable or header?  Can you be a little more clear in precisely what
problems you are experiencing?  There are a great many things that can
be done wrongly in connecting a serial console, and without some
indication of what issue you actually have we'd be spinning our
wheels.
