[OpenWrt-Users] Probable bug? PPTP reconnection problem / Server refused to allocate pty

Hi,
I am using CoovaAP Firmware - version 1.0 beta.6 - Copyright (c) 2007 -
based on WHITE RUSSIAN (0.9+). On LinksysWRT54GL.

When a pptp connection fails (I made it fail to test reconnection
ability) gateway try to reconnect as expected.
The problem is when reconnecting it allocates new pseudo-tty for each
trial. After some number of retrial (~250, I think it depends on
hardware and software and conf) an error message is send "kern.err
pppd[6840] : Couldn't allocate pseudo-tty".

In this situation you can not connect to pptp server any more. Also you
can not ssh to gateway. You get "Server refused to allocate pty" message.

I don't know why pppd try to allocate new pseudo-tty. Is this necessary
or is this a bug.

Any solution is welcomed.
