actually, i'm not having any build problems.  i've managed to build a
full (make symlink/packages) build for my WRT54GL, and i was just
experimenting with whether it would complete successfully.  i
identified about a half-dozen issues on my fedora 8 system and
submitted trac tickets for the relevant ones.

all i'm interested in now is what config file was used to build the
downloadable images that are available at downloads.openwrt.org.  i
would just like to reproduce exactly what it took to get those
downloadable images, so i know i have a good starting point before i
start tweaking things.
