[OpenWrt-Users] NAT performance problem at ar7

Hi,

I am using openwrt with speedport701
http://wiki.openwrt.org/OpenWrtDocs/Hardware/T-Com/SpeedportW701V

With high network traffic I get high values of "softirq" in top.
Also this message appears often:
eth0: tx dma ring full
eth0: hw error, resetting...
( sometimes the interface hangs completely)
Is it possible that the netfilter-modules consume to much?

Now I disabled some of them, (tftp, irc, sip..) 
Could this increase the chance to get a higher stability?
