[OpenWrt-Users] online explanation of kamikaze "ifconfig" output?

  i vaguely recall running across a good description of the various
network interfaces as printed by "ifconfig", discussing how the whole
"vlan" thing worked and so on.  can anyone point me at this?  thanks.
