Hi All,
First off: Thanks to the devs for a *wonderful* product!
I bought a networked hard disk, which I connect to my router at home. I
was trying to see if I could set it up so that it could also be accessed
from work.
The problem is as follows: My networked hard disk has an FTP server.
Unfortunately, I don't think I can just redirect requests to ports 20/21
to my OpenWRT box from the WAN to my FTP server. (I think because each
command requires a dynamically created port, which is of course not
forwarded, something might go wrong. I might be wrong here, so if you
know how to do this using just iptables, let me know and I'll be
thrilled).
Anyways, in an attempt to solve this problem, I decided to set up an ftp
proxy server on my OpenWRT router. I used frox
(http://frox.sourceforge.net), and I attach the package for it to this
email. Unfortunately while frox compiles and runs perfectly on my
laptops, it does not run on OpenWRT. It compiles, and starts fine. I can
connect to it, and authenticate to a server. But it locks up as soon as
I do "ls".
Has anyone else tried something similar? If yes, would you have a
solution in mind? Or a suggestion I can use to get this working?
Thanks,
GI
