You can configure kernel parameters with the "make kernel_menuconfig" 
command.

I've tried this morning to compile OpenWRT from revision 8440 of SVN, 
but my WAG354G still blinks. I'm currently trying to compile a smaller 
kernel, but haven't found many options to disable, so I doubt this will 
help a lot.
