[OpenWrt-Users] should i be able to display the encryption used by openwrt?

after configuring my openwrt router to use WPA2 and AES, i ran a
"iwlist wlan0 scan" command from a fedora 8 - test 1 laptop and got,
as part of the output:

  Encryption key:on

but no further info on the encryption method in use. normally, i
expect to see further output describing, say, the version of WPA, and
the group cipher, and so on.

amusingly, that scan picked up someone else's AP in the vicinity,
for which the scan *did* list all of that extra info. have i done
something silly here? am i not allowed to get that info from an
openwrt router? thanks.
