THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY.

A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - louson (louson)

Attached to Project - OpenWrt/LEDE Project
Summary - Cannot flash a recent image on Mikrotik hap lite
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Base system
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - Medium
Priority - Very Low
Reported Version - openwrt-19.07
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Using a Mikrotik hap lite
system type : Qualcomm Atheros QCA9533 ver 2 rev 0
machine : MikroTik RouterBOARD RB941-2nD

Using latest releases 19.07.7 for both firmware install image and sysupgrade.

Following [[https://openwrt.org/toh/mikrotik/rb941_2nd|the guide]], after booting in ram, the command sysupgrade is killed because the memory is getting low. Either using Luci or sysupgrade in ssh.

Here the state of tmpfs :

# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
tmpfs 13.1M 248.0K 12.9M 2% /tmp
tmpfs 512.0K 0 512.0K 0% /dev

The state of the rootfs

# du -sh /*
464.0K	/bin
0	/dev
604.0K	/etc
4.0K	/init
3.1M	/lib
0	/mnt
0	/overlay
0	/proc
4.0K	/rom
0	/root
536.0K	/sbin
0	/sys
248.0K	/tmp
4.1M	/usr
0	/var
932.0K	/www

Total = 10M

And the sysupgrade image is 4.1M.

It's possible to go through the problem after removing some binaries and libraries (wireless is not necessary).

To reproduce, follow the guide. It will fail at step [[https://openwrt.org/toh/mikrotik/rb941_2nd#flash_openwrt_to_mikrotik | Flash openwrt to mikrotik]]
