THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY.

The following task is now closed:

FS#3342 - spiFlash 32MB soft reset failed(spi 4byte/3byte mode error)
User who did this - Piotr Dymacz (pepe2k)

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: MIPS based Qualcomm QCA9k WiSOCs series support booting from SPI NOR flash only in 3-byte mode. For proper 32M+ SPI NOR density support a hardware reset line connected to the flash IC is required (see for example 8devices Lima device). What's more, device mentioned in bug report (WDR4900 v2) has MB of SPI NOR, support for a modified device has to be done outside the project.
For a broader context regarding 3/4-byte addressing, see also: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/commit-22d982-ramips-add-support-for-switching-between-3-byte-and-4-byte-addressing-on-w25q256-flash/8582/3?u=pepe2k
