My own "Big picture" is this:
Firmware selector to get to the download links very fast and look neat with minimal distractions.
The wiki is for very detailed information, hardware mods, installation guides, and provide links to images, of course.

Both have a different focus and can't be both.

A firmware selector should also provide a link to the wiki page.
But the wiki pages itself are too overloaded.
